Beginner Black Magick – Black Witch Coven

BWC has created this system of defining beginner to advanced Black Magick to assist you in charting your occult journey. We suggest that you build on your skill level, before you attempt the black magic style rituals. A common mistake a newcomer would make, for example, would be to try and evoke a Demon or spirit, without having Knowledge of basic rituals, such as protection work, and without being able to strengthen their 6th sense so to connect to the spirit for messages. If you build on your knowledge , you will find yourself having much success in magic, and in the dark arts. You will only find frustration if you do not dedicate time and energy on learning the basics.

Points to remember

  • You don’t need to follow these suggestions in any specific order.
  • You will need to do loads of reading, internal processing, and deciding what really sits with your identity and beliefs.
  • Expect to spend a significant amount of time devoted to your studies.

That is how you can begin your black magick education, one step at a time. Learn meditations, read books and try various techniques, exercises and practice, practice, practice.

Tips and Advice from Others:

I love these comments from our subscribers, as it shows there are many ways to begin and enjoy our craft. If you have a tip for this page, feel free to leave a comment as well.

I am absolutely no beginner and I still put myself in trouble during certain goetia rituals. I agree with you that one should only move to the black arts once one has mastered the basics…. if I could go back in time, one thing I would do different in my learning process would be this: do not mess with invocation/evocation before you have developed enough self-power. Just saying…

I also have a few ideas to share When I was fresh into the Occult, my first stop was my spice rack along with caretaking plants, and in fact a deceptively powerful type of work is planting the seeds of a plant with an end result in mind. As time goes on with consistent attending to and nurturing the plant’s growth, when it matures fully, your desire will as well grow into reality as the plant did. As another bonus, that same plant will have an energy towards you like a child to mother, and if you use that plant in any working, it’s going to push extra hard because you took care of it, so it’s going to do all it can for you Another great idea is establish Astral relationships with passed on family members. Getting comfortable with that will help you expand into approaching Divine, Demonic, Angelic etc. far more easier. Consider also Astrology as well and that will help organize future workings with having the most celestial help possible in your workings. My #1 choice, after 10 years in this field, I urge to invest in Alchemy, and being physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual Alchemies. Alchemy is structured, yet simple once you understand it, that it is one of the most adapting occult sciences out there. Lastly, the Occult study has no end, and even I go back through all I learned since day one and relearn everything again; That is how you discover more potential than your first step.🤍

I’ve read many witchcraft books, most of them say the same. Some of those things are connecting with deities, which I don’t do, I connect with the universal energy. So I’ve picked my own path which is very eclectic witchcraft

Excellent advice. Modern Magic was one of my favorites.

I personally believe that if you are attracted to witchcraft, your soul’s purpose is to be a witch. Basically, you’re a natural witch.

Meditation & Visualization

Your first 12 months in magick should be spent learning how to:

  1. conduct energy
  2. focus

This can be achieved with practicing:

  • Meditation
  • Visualization
  • Developing a relationship with spirit

You will need to learn basic meditation rituals, and be able to focus the mind for a given amount of time. If you can’t do this, you may need to read the book Spiritual Warfare, and complete the 6 Months of exercises.

Black magic is all about cause and effect. The idea is to work with the elements, and the spirit, to achieve improvement in our own lives. You will soon find certain times, days, cycles, and other important factors, should be considered before conducting rituals and spells. It is recommended that you purchase a good correspondences book NOW, and familiarise yourself with the most auspicious days for conducting your spells and rituals.

You’ll probably ask me for a recommendation on the best book for correspondences, and I will tell you that this will depend on the system of magic you wish to pursue,

Meditation and visualization

Spellwork is 10% preparation and 90% manifestation. You’ve probably heard that term used before, but I’ll simplify it for you.

Manifestation is simply the ability to alter your physical reality by visualizing the change you want to experience. From overcoming self-defeating behavior to improving your financial situation, you can move mountains with the power of positive visualization.

Manifestation really is at the core of all magickal systems, and the best way to become a powerful manifestor is to — you guessed it — meditate.

If you can’t learn to meditate and visualize, you will not be successful in any other area of black magick.

Divination is the practice of attempting to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge by occult or supernatural means.

BWC suggests you learn at least two methods.

The Importance of Divination

To be a spell caster or connect with the spirits, you will need to learn a divination method – and we suggest the pendulum is the easiest method. Tarot is an excellent method to gain some insight into your future.

It can take some time to learn any method of divination, so we suggest you start to learn this now. Try and practice every other day until you feel confident.

Savannah's BOSThe Essential Tool

The Book of Shadows is a place where you write down all of your Magick rituals and results. It is the most important thing in Magick to do.  What may seem boring at first will be awe inspiring later when you go back to read what you wrote. Writing down your ritual and results will increase your Magick ability and results ten thousand times faster then not writing them down as you will be able to see where you are making errors and correct them.

Remember Magick is an art AND a science so you will need to have a structured and written down way of doing your ritual (the science part) then you will change it a bit (the art part) to see what gives you the best results to get more money, better health, increased psychic abilities and many more things.
